Practical wisdom for life, work, leadership, and faith — from someone who has spent decades leading in both the church and the marketplace.

Life can be complicated. Whether you're figuring out your career, making an important decision, growing in your faith, navigating relationships, or simply discovering what's next — sometimes you need someone who has traveled a few roads ahead of you.
That's where I come in. For more than 30 years, I've had the privilege of leading people in two very different worlds: the church and the marketplace. I've served as a pastor, church planter, teacher, mentor, and ministry leader, while also leading teams and organizations in industries ranging from FinTech and Human Capital Management to customer success and executive leadership.
Those experiences have taught me something important: people everywhere are asking many of the same questions. How do I discover my purpose? How do I know God's direction for my life? How do I succeed professionally without losing what matters most? How do I handle setbacks, uncertainty, and change? How do I build a life that makes a difference?
Through my teaching, videos, devotionals, speaking, and books, my goal is simple: to help you navigate life's most important decisions with practical wisdom, biblical truth, and real-world experience.
I'm not here to pretend I have all the answers. I'm here to share what I've learned through decades of leadership, faith, successes, failures, and lessons along the way.
So whether you're exploring faith, building a career, searching for purpose, or simply trying to take the next step forward — welcome. I'm glad you're here.
— André
Most of what I teach, write, and mentor on falls into these four areas. Wherever you are, there's a next step.
Discovering God's direction for your life.
Thriving professionally without losing your soul.
Navigating everyday challenges with wisdom.
Building a life that matters.

Have you ever noticed that when you're driving, everyone becomes a navigation expert? One person says, "Turn here." Another says, "Take the highway." Your GPS calmly says, "Continue for two miles." If you listen to every voice, you'll miss your destination.
Life is no different.
Every day we're surrounded by opinions, headlines, social media, fears, expectations, and past experiences—all competing to shape our thinking and direct our decisions. The question isn't whether you're being influenced. It's what has the loudest voice in your life.
Jesus offers something better than endless opinions. He gives us the Holy Spirit—the Helper, Teacher, and Guide—who leads us into truth and reminds us of His Word (John 14:26).
Practical Inspiration:
Most people think being "under the influence" means losing control. Scripture presents the opposite. "Do not be drunk with wine... but be filled with the Spirit." (Ephesians 5:18). Alcohol changes judgment, reactions, and behavior. The Holy Spirit transforms identity, perspective, and purpose.
Fear produces anxiety. Comparison produces insecurity. Anger produces reaction.
But the Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Not because we're trying harder, but because God is working within us.
Living reactively is allowing culture and circumstances to dictate your responses. Living purposefully is allowing the Holy Spirit to shape them.
Making It Real:
Before you respond to that email... Before you replay that criticism... Before you let fear make the decision...
Pause and ask: "What influence am I operating under right now?"
Anxiety or faith? Anger or grace? Pride or humility? Popular opinion or God's truth?
The Holy Spirit rarely competes with the noise of the world. He invites us to slow down, listen, and trust. Every day we choose the influence that will shape our words, our attitudes, and our actions.
Challenge for the Week:
For the next seven days, practice a five-second prayer before responding to difficult moments: "Holy Spirit, influence my thoughts, my words, and my actions." You may be surprised how differently you speak, serve, lead, and love when God's presence, not your circumstances, has the final say.
Closing Thought:
"But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you." John 14:26 (NLT)
The Christian life is not about trying harder. It is about living every day under the loving, empowering influence of the Holy Spirit.

A few of the questions people bring to Uncle André — and how he answers them.
Achievement and alignment are not the same thing. You can collect promotions, titles, and followers and still feel disconnected from your purpose. When I make major decisions, I ask three questions: Does this make me more of who I want to become? Does it create value for other people? Would I still choose it if nobody applauded me for it?
Purpose usually grows quietly. Performance always needs an audience. Don't build a life that photographs well but doesn't feel like yours.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)
